Chapter Four

Chapter Four - Gold medallist

“Huh?” Ryoma asked in confusion. He didn’t feel uncomfortable but he certainly wasn’t expecting this either. He couldn’t turn his face away from Duo, that smile was almost addictive. He felt Duo’s hand on his shoulder, and then he felt being closed into a hug. This wasn’t anything he felt earlier, and he didn’t have any idea why Duo was doing this to him. Was there some rule he had broken? Was Duo angry? Was this supposed to feel bad or good?

“Ryoma-chan, you worried me” Duo explained “I want friends… friends, I don’t want anyone to feel cold or afraid here”. “But I’m not…” Ryoma started, soon interrupted by his older friend “talk to me, let me do something for you. Let me listen to your stories”. Then Duo let go and looked at the more than confused boy with a smile. “You are way, way beyond cute, and there’s a lot of ways to have fun here instead of just practicing alone. And I’d be happy to show you around”.

Even though Ryoma was still confused about the situation, he felt it was best to be polite, to accept Duo’s kind offer. “What will you show?” he asked calmly, trying his best to look like he was enjoying himself. “Anything you want, when you get to know the place and people, soon you’ll be having friends and doing things all around. Heh, give it a while and you’ll be getting some private workout” Duo grinned, trying to sound friendly and of course, like typical to him, a little cute as well.

“Private workout, is that effective?” Ryoma asked, totally clueless about the fact that Duo was talking about under the cover Olympics. Duo had another idea of Ryoma’s talks though and he played along what seemed like a nice act for a change. “Depends on who’s giving it, of course” Duo grinned with confidence and enjoyment, as this talk was getting to be very fun. Perhaps Ryoma was a gold medallist in that particular sport, Duo thought and blushed a bit. While Duo was thinking and concentrating on his next words, Ryoma didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. In his typical tone of voice he continued the discussion far before Duo could expect it. “So when are you going to show me?” he asked, hoping to find some more effective way of becoming stronger.

Duo blinked at Ryoma, totally surprised. He knew he saw cuteness in the new boy but he didn’t think this was more than just friendship. Was Ryoma planning this all along? Duo certainly had no objections to someone having a crush on him. He approached Ryoma, giving a kiss on the boy’s lips now. “I’m sorry I misread you… you’re sure? Just like that? You charmer…” Duo was giggling a bit now to himself. Ryoma, almost insulted that his ability to take challenges was questioned, nodded plainly “Or you walking out of your promise, Duo?”

Duo gave another try on Ryoma’s lips. The boy was inexperienced in kissing it seemed but he certainly was warm. Duo took the small hand into his and led the new boy slowly towards his room. Before approaching, he slowed down “uh… it’s a bit messy though, I didn’t prepare…” Duo warned. “You talk too much to have time to clean” Ryoma replied. For some reason, it sounded strangely cute to Duo. He opened the door and almost pulled Ryoma behind him, a bit afraid of someone seeing them heading into the same room.
